How can
I help?
The Fulton County SPCA relies solely on donations from people like you who care about animals. You can be a hero to our needy friends by donating:
Money -- Always welcome!
Patronize our fund-raising events. Watch our home page for information.
Show your support with a shirt, mug or mouse pad bearing our logo. Click here to visit our new online store. Profits from all sales benefit the shelter.
Leave your loose change in one of the collection canisters you'll find at many local businesses. And thank them for supporting us!
Remember a loved one who loved animals by making a contribution, or encourage others to make one, in his/her memory.
For a living loved one who "has everything," a donation to a worthy cause in his/her name is a thoughtful gift.
Sorry, we cannot accept donations online. They can be sent by snail mail to us at 486 Stevers Mill Road, Broadalbin NY 12025.
Time
Clean cages and kennels, feed and water animals. They need care every day!
Walk dogs/play with cats. The more TLC animals get, the better their chances of attracting new owners and going to loving homes.
Answer phones/wait on visitors. An important, but not strenuous job for folks who don't feel up to being taken for a walk by a stir-crazy Rottweiler!
Help with our fund-raisers. Donate craft items or baked goods; man the money box; provide a demonstration, attraction or entertainment; "mind the store" (the shelter) while our people are at off-site events.
Space
Foster parents provide a safe haven for animals involved in legal disputes, help socialize neglected animals to human contact and free up shelter space so we can help more animals. Foster parents for farm animals are especially welcome!
Stuff
Food, cat litter, treats and toys; pet beds and leashes; blankets and towels; pet carriers and cages. (Please call before bringing dry food, as we are required to store it securely and our storage space is limited.)
Soap, bleach and other cleaning/disinfecting supplies.
Merchandise from your business for raffles at our fund-raisers.
Anything at all! We just might be able to use your old computer, radio, fax machine or garden hose. Give us a call!
